Oil Sands Innovation Summit 2017

Taking place in Calgary on March 21 and 22, Oil Sands Innovation Summit 2017 will bring together industry, provincial and federal government, academia, and the service and technology sectors from around the globe to showcase how innovation is improving the environmental performance of Canada's oil sands.

Co-hosted by COSIA, Alberta Innovates and Natural Resources Canada, the two-day Summit will feature technical presentations on projects improving water and land use, transforming tailings management and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. There will also be discussions on improving the innovation capacity of the sector.

Half-day learning workshops on March 20 offer the unique opportunity for conference attendees not familiar with the oil sands or only familiar with specific oil sands practice areas to learn more about the oil sands generally, as well as specifics in land, water, tailings, greenhouse gases and monitoring.
